? 4 the canadian posters
are the tragically hip considered an edgy band in canada? i was listening to them today and ralized they said the eff word (fuck) in one of their songs, which seems kinda edgy.
also, in canada, are the tragically hip called "the hip?" like, "dang hoser i saw the hip at rough riders stadium last night, and they were effing great!"

They are called the hip, but I've never thought of them as edgy. I've always thought of them as the band that for some reason could never make it in the US.

It sucks how all the Canadian content stuff the stations are forced to play ends up being the mass market shit that sells in the US.
On the other hand the stations could be playing more Neil Young, The Band, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, The Tragically Hip, The New Pornographers, The Arcade Fire, The Guess Who, Feist, and a million other Canadian musicians and bands that don't suck.
