2nd degree burns
So my girlfriends mom burned her arm yesterday and went to the clinic they said its second degree which is pretty serious. Anyways they gave her T3 and told her to get some ointment in a week.
Just wondering if anyone here has had experience with burns like this and how well they heal up?
She burned her arm on an exhaust pipe on a delivery truck, I couldn't help but laugh at the story.

Burned my calf on a motorcycle exhaust pipe. Nothing too bad, so my skin didn't stay all sick looking. I also poured boiling water on my hand. It wasn't one of the smartest decisions I made.

Burn my arm on a industrial thermal oven. I had a big blister that was gross. I just wrapped it never put ointment on it.

I am wondering how bad she will scar because you can see where the skin has peeled off on the top, it kind of looks like loose seran wrap but crispy on the top. the rest just looks like a giant blister. theres some black charing on the top layer as well. she got it pretty bad

I still got a scar. But it has faded after a yr. Just take care of it so it doesn't get infected and it should be fine.

Same. I still have a scar, but it's not that noticeable amongst all the hair.

Second degree burns are the most painful burns. 3rd degree is so severe, you can't feel it cause all the nerves get burnt away. Sucks for you gf's mom

I have read that if you put non-cook egg white on a burn it will sort of replace the skin there, you have to do this at least once a day.
