Why didn't Filho fight in the Finals? OFFICIAL speculation thread.

So far I haven't heard anyone mention that he might have pulled out because he didn't want to fight Kang. As many ppl know him and Denis were/are good friends, and have trained together for awhile. Perhaps Filho didn't want to fight his friend especially given the circumstances in Kang's personal life. Just thought I'd put that out there.

I dont know, but his knee sure didnt seem to be too banged up right after the Misaki win. I hope it was just an injury and not something stupid.

There was a problem with his left knee. But He didn´t pull out, he would fight, the PRIDE doctors didn´t allow him.

Backstage when he was talking to one of his cornermen he said he would fight even if he was crippled.

Was it a knee injury he had trying to get into the MW GP? The one night tourney where he was supposed to fight Lister but BTT pulled the plug on it because they realized that Nog and Arona were already in.

I think Filho just didn't want to fight his friend Kang.
