Randleman took Kawamura down in the first round and had his back for most of the round peppering him with punches. I think Kawamura threw about three punches and two leg kicks in total in the first round, and didn't land any of the punches. He also tried a kimura and foot lock and was nowehre near to getting them.

In the second round again both fighters were very inactive, and none landed any significant shots.

In the third Randleman tried for a front guillotine choke and had Kawamura on the ground or had his back again for a good portion of the round. Kawamura flurried at the end, but i don't think he landed a single significant shot.

Randleman won on the bases that he controlled the first round, and avoided getting hit by Kawamura throughout the fight.

BESIDES, Randleman connected with barely any hits and Kawamura seemed way more and active.

He didn't even come close to getting any of his kimura attempts or his foot lock. The facts are Randleman controlled him for the majority of the first round and prevented him form landing anything significant throughout the entire fight. Randleman connected with some good shots, not a lot, but i think Kawamura was holding his left arm to prevent him from throwing shots as well as to get out of the position.

did we watch the same fight? i just saw some guy try and hug another guys back and trying to take him down, failing in the process. they score differently in japan btw.
