so what's the NEW HW RANKING?
spoilers... (note I'm not even counting ufc hws here)
Ok, so...
Months ago, Overeem owned Kharitonov...HOWEVER!...some of you may or may not be aware of this, but Sergei wasn't defending himself on the ground because he had an injured shoulder...
Now, Overeem just lots vs Werdum...via kimura...
We know that Werdum lost vs Kharitonov via split decision..(in a rather boring fight I might add..)
Alexander lost vs Josh Barnett...
Fujita's back...
Mark Hunt avoided the sub...he also had a better sprawl...
Yoshida...just another day at the office..
Crocop see above...
Barnett, has now 2 losses & 2 victories in Pride fc...But where should He be ranked?
where was alexander supposed to be ranked before that fight anyway?
What about Roman?...Should He even be ranked?...maybe in the top 15?
All of this is rather complicated...
as far as I'm concerned... my HW ranking looks like this...
1 Fedor Emelianenko
2 Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
3 Mirko Filipovic.
4 Mark Hunt
5 Fabricio Werdum
6 Josh Barnett
7 HideHiko Yoshida
8 Alexander Emelianenko
9 Alistair Overeem
10 Sergei Kharitonov.
Or maybe drop Yoshida in the 10th spot?....Personally I think He should be part of the top 10 at the moment..maybe not at the *7th spot...but he should be somewhere..
Note:
In case you guys don't know this...Yoshida is a HW...He was weighting 106kg vs Ogawa..
and He was weighting 104 kg Vs Nishijima...
104 kg = 229LBS

Well I'm always suprised people consider Kharitonov to be so low-ranked all of a sudden. His loss against Overeem, in my opinion, was really just caused by that injury. He used to be ranked in the top 5 heavyweights and after that loss, he suddenly dropped a lot. Some people didn't even involve him in the top 10. I think that's unfair, cause I think his shoulder played a big role in that fight against Overeem.

Well, but if you are talking about current rankings and he is unable to fight well atm, you can put him in lower spots. If he heals his injury, he will be higher in rankings again.

this isn't the baseball disabled list....
By your logic Fedor shouldn't be #1 since he is injured as well.
