read somewere in the forum that rickson anounced on brazillian tv that he would fight sak in late 2008 anyone got any info?

That's true. And at this point what would it really mean? That one guy's arthritis is less severe than the other's?

It will never happen. Get over it, Rickson is obviously scared of Sakuraba. If this fight were to ever happen, it would've happened in 2000 or 2001 after Sakuraba dismantled 4 of the Gracies. Rickson could've stepped in to "save" the Gracie name, instead he just kept talking about the fight but never allowed it to happen. Pride tried to make it happen but Rickson wouldn't let it.

So.... you will do it for the competition (very noble) BUT only if the price is right...

It's a fact that Sak will fight anyone pretty much anywhere. His record has shown this time after time. Gracie however is probably scared to risk his reputation/legend/myth with a fighter who has dominated his style time and again.

I doubt you will see Rickson fight Sak regardless of the money. He should quit trying to live off his blown up rep and just retire with grace. He would probably have more respect if he were to do that instead of trying to perpetuate his greatness with fights that will not happen.
