Damn that was a good fight. It had everything, striking, brutal legkicks from Gonzaga, the ground game, while brief, was awesome. Sick knees by Werdum, awesome comeback from him too. Both were winded around halfway through the second round, but it was justified because of the high pace both fought at.
This was a heavyweight fight too. It's a shame that both seem to have dropped from the title race.

UFC releasing Werdum didn't make sense to me neither, He finished both Gonzaga and Vera and going into that fight with "Cigano" he was next in line for title shot
Gonzaga has had his chances. I really thought he was going to beat Randy. He lost to Carwin.......I see GG as atleast a gatekeeper and maybe getting another title run if he derails Velasquez or another hot star

Werdum isn't even in the UFC anymore. Gonzaga was hurting Carwin in the standup until he got caught. I like Gonzaga but it seems the only time he can be dominate is if he's in there with a can.

Yeah it was a great fight. Werdum seems to have Gonzaga's number. Both are world beaters and will challenge the belts in their respected orgs down the road.

Only cans get dominated. But Gonzaga smashed plenty of tough fighters. Cro Cop is a can huh? Gonzaga's mistake was letting Carwin stand up.

Actually Gonzaga's mistake was taking him down right when he stunned him and giving him time to recover. Stupidest mistake I've ever seen

Standing up is where he almost knocked Carwin out.
