What happened to filho?
I just watched the korean ppv, and it didnt look like he took even a scratch in the match vs misaki.
Anyone know something about the injury and/or how he got injured?
Im sure he would have beat kang, so it must have been something serious.

Injured his foot, doctors would not clear him to figth agian. (heard its broken)

same thing happend after he owned Suloev but could not fight the second fight.

The promotion announced that Paulo Filho suffered ligament damage in his left knee and could not continue to the Welterweight GP finals. Kazuo Misaki was named as his replacement.

I have no idea why he didn't continue. Too bad.

I think he would submit Kang, they should fight another time.

The fight goes like this, first minute is feeling out, misaki lands one lowkick, nothing serious.
After 65 minutes they clinch and filho get the takedown to guard, filho slowly passes the guard, get half guard and eventually full mount.
Misaki tries to escape backdoor up against the corner and end up getting cought in a nice armbar.

Other than the lowkick misaki landed nothing, and as mentioned the lowkick was nothing to talk about.
