OW thoughts
My first thread. I was there tonight. In the past week I've been reading a lot of threads complaining about the match-making for the first round of the OWGP. I was pissed off (maybe because I had my ticket and I didn't want to believe it) and I didn't think people should have written off the tournament until it happened.
Now I have to say to all those doubters: you were right. It definitely was disappointing. Some of it was unavoidable (Fedor, Shogun out). Some of it was avoidable (Silva's money, fighters who shouldn't have been in there like Minowa, Zulu, Nishima - surely by now people should realise that a boxer without ground skills is f**ked up the a** before the match even starts - fighters who should have been there, like Coleman).
All in all, with Sakuraba gone, Silva maybe gone, and a poor show tonight, I can't help thinking it has been a pretty bad couple of weeks for Pride.
