overeem-WOW!

im very surprised to hear that alistair was able to dominate kharitonov the whole match as i think pride had big plans for sergi. this may make the number 1 contender spot in the heavyweight division a little more interesting as i think he proved that his size and quickness is something to be reckoned with.

from beatdown this week, Bas was sounding like he thought it would be a HUGE upset if overeem won, which it really was if u think about it. good for him though, deserves the win by all means.

I wouldn't say that dislocating his shoulder in a takedown was "dominating the whole match"

o yea your right, sergei dominated the match then by getting taken down by alistar and getting 4124 punches and knees to his face without even making a single offensive move. your logic is great.

That wil be very interesting, I think Allistar wil handle Silva in the Clinch, and on the ground. It's MMA so everything is possible!

Kahritonov had a dislocated shoulder from the first takedown, props to him to still fight...
Barnett tapped in the same situation

Tapping for an injury is Ok depending on what it is. Barnett was smart and now has come back looking very strong and will be a force in the open GP.

Kharitonov took a brutal brutal beating + the shoulder could've been made worse. Don't expect to see him for a long time.

Just for these guys to get in the ring you have to be a tough guy. Your body is your career. Few can get away with never submitting or tapping. Chuck Lidell comes to mind. Probably Wandy...but these guys have elite level skills. Tim Slyvia learned his lesson and now taps.
