*Note to Rich Franklin's next opponent
Kick his lead leg!!! I just watched Loiseau v Franklin again, and at no time did Loiseau attack Franklin's lead leg, no leg kicks at all. Rich throws his right jab 99% of the time when he first attacks, and the other 1% of the time he throws the left body kick. Hammering the lead right leg early would diminish Franklin's ability to throw both of these. This is not to knock Franklin, I love the guy, but I have been thinking about what the competition needs to do in order to perhaps defeat him in future, and this is what I have come up with. I invite your opinions and the inevitable ridicule and personal attacks.

Ace is a huge 185ib'er, I could see a G'n'pounder beating Ace, but the UFC has'nt got anyway like that at that weight!

Its real easy to type on a computer and examine a fighters weakness. But getting in the cage and doing it is another thing.I really do think the crow has alot of stand up experience,so for someone on sherdog to say just do this or do that,is really ridiculous. The crow's corner was telling him throw this or throw that ,and the crow said" its hard his timing is different" or something to that effect.Basically ,"I can't". This was a big test for Franklin and he smashed right through it.If he gets beat in the stand up ,he will just take it to the ground. He is one of the most complete fighters out there right now.PERIOD.....

This is why fighters watch film, or should. I haven't rewatched Quarry either, but I'm willing to bet there isn't a single attempt at a leg kick in there either. Loiseau was throwing low percentage head kicks a lot, but even if he'd thrown some leg kicks and missed, he might have kept Franklin back a bit, respecting the fact he might get his lead leg smashed up. I'd agree that he couldn't hit the leg if he'd tried and missed, but he never tried. This is not to put down Loiseau, I'm a Canadian and I couldn't be prouder of his toughness and his heart and his effort. I'd just been wondering what he might've done differently to make this fight as close as I had expected it to be, rather than what it turned into.

False, Franklin has a loss, the man is not invincible.

Franklins only loss is when he first started breaking the scene, but like he said a loss is a loss and he is not invincable, Loiseau did rock franklin in the fihgt and took him to the mat but did not capitalize with his elbows
