Huerta had it ROUGH

I know most of you have seen the preview of the 87 countdown. I had no CLUE Roger had such a rough time growing up. He was almost in tears when he was talking about how those closest to him physically beat him. You could see the hatred in his eyes as he was swearing them. What a great story though. He didn't make excuses for himself but instead owned his lifstyle and completely turned things around.

Thoughts and comments??

It's true, he did have a very hard time growing up. His adopted mother taught at my high school, Crockett High, here in Austin. She is a very nice lady.

--She even put my boxing article for school up on her wall!! Haha.

Huerta is a good guy.

He has proven himself to be a title contender a long time ago. I remember seeing him fight here in hawaii when he was 21.

He has loads of experience compared to alot of fighters. It's unfortunate so many people talk badly about him. It isn't his fault the UFC is using him as a poster boy.

Alot of people will look past his skills and talents, even try to blockthem out just to hate on him. I don't know why so many people on these boards don't like him, he is a respectful, nice looking kid with lots of veteran experience.

If anything, hate the UFC hype machine for using him.

That's what made him tough. He was not pampered like most of you guys who talk crap about him all the time.

Huerta is a good dude with a bright future. I can't see him beating KenFlo or Penn, but I would very much like to.
I like that the UFC is hyping him, he's great and he deserves it. Why not? Who else in the LW division should be getting the hype he has? It'll die down if he loses to Kenny, but if he does not he's once again earned the hype, just like he did against Guida.

huerta checking the jumbotron to see where alberto crane's head was to throw elbow's is probably the smartest thing I've ever seen a fighter do
