A bad stoppage has nothing to do with the rules. A bad stoppage is a mistake. You say you have seen fighters come back, well don't you think the fighter should be given the benefit of the doubt.

Bad Stoppages will only help the UFC, because people like Garrett (who prefer non-contact sports) are in the majority and that's where MMA is going. On to the mainstream and like everything else from movies, to books, other sports, it will only become more watered down and unrecognizable to the true fans, who will have to find something else to replace it!
