It's only going to get worse
Just as in boxing it is only going to get worse. We live in a "Nanny State" where everybody is too soft. As the sport grows it's only going to get worse. Eventually there will be no more knockouts because the ref's will step in early every time. The NFL does the same thing, you can't even hit a receiver or a quarterback hard or it's a personal foul. The only way it would change is if people realized they were being taken advantage of and stopped spending their money, but that will never happen! We're like lambs to the slaughter!

You gotta wonder if Dan doesn't place bets on these fighters (illegally) and just goes in there to not necessarily change the outcome(that would be literally impossible) but that maybe he does all he can to assist the fighter he bet on to win. Don't act like its not possible, you gotta wonder with this shit.

You guys can complain all you like. Miragliotta is no different than all the others.
Not an event goes by without serious mistakes. Last UFC, Jardine, Gouviea and Sherk were exposed to damage long after they were done fighting. Jardine and Gouviea paid high prices for the refs negligence. Jardine is lucky to be alive. Sherk lucked out because Penn restrained himself when the ref was slow to react.
Two instances that bothered me significantly were the Anderson Silva nd Kenny Florian fights. Both refs allowed the fighters to administer illegal elbows to an illegal portion of the body. Which I found to be total BS! Not to mention how Faber was allowed to drop at least 4 hammerfists to the back of the head of a kneeling Pulver, amidst a fight in which Faber connected on 8+ illegal strikes.
I did not see the Vera - Werdum fight. Bedlam isn't worth buying - should get it for free like Page - Henderson.
I would have hoped that Vera would have lost in more distinct fashion. Vera has no business being a HW IMO. The only reason he is there is because of the lack of talent in the division - which has gotten even worse. HW flab master Vera needs to drop down to LHW. Sure Vera may benefit from the fact middle of the road UFC HWs are complete jokes. But they will always have a few HW whom are decent. Those HWs will own Vera due to him fighting out of his weight class.

stop crying.
pretty sure the fighters rather a semilate stoppage than an early stoppage. You can heal from injuries. You can never erase a loss.

You're telling me to stop crying....... in this thread? Are you not aware this thread is filled with whining? No, you have another agenda for saying such.
Yes, I am sure Gouviea and Jardine were hoping the refs would have let them get pummeled while unconscious for longer. Ridiculous!
