mir vs. iceman
the superiority of chuck's sprawl and takedown d it would be an interesting matchup to mir's ground game, but you have to realize that mir is a heavyweight and chuck's a light. the 50-so pounds he would be giving up would be a factor. Chuck is not as well tested against bigger opponents as many light heavyweights in PRIDE, where weight classes were often the exception rather than rule. Chuck does have great power, but you have to realize that mir is used to receiving blows from opponents with heavy hands. The fight will probably never happen so speculation is likely all that we're going to have to go on in this matchup. I think that liddell would have problems keeping mir standing up, but with the unorthodox angles he throws punches out, could catch mir. Chuck would have to hope that one of his haymakers knocks mir out pretty good, because he would get eaten up in mir's guard. All in all, if this fight would happen tomorrow (assuming they were previously training for eachother) I'd give the endge to Chuck. TKO midway through the second round.
