K-1 Hero's Minowa vs Kevin Casey

Minowa won via tko (Strikes). Casey ate a right, dropped and turtled up and from there Minowa finished him with strikes.

Seemed like Casey was actually dominating Minowa before he turned away from grappling to boxing and Minowa got in a lucky blow... Rickson's protoge did him proud.

I wouldn't call him holding Minowa against the rope dominating but he clearly got the better of Minowa the first round. Casey had Minowa's back at one point but the ref had a bullshit standup after only a couple of seconds in the position.

If this was sport grappling then Casey won. He did very little on the ground, it looked like a sport match. I saw a guy with one kick and average takedowns. He did not land any good strikes on the ground.

Had he not tried to trade punches he might have won a split decision. He should have picked someone with less fights to make his debut against. I don not see how you guys can say he was dominating, mma is not sport grappling.

Looks like Ralek made the correct decision not to fight Minowa. Later.

Anytime a fighter trained by Rickson looses I loose a little piece of my heart.

It was Kevin's first MMA fight I believe. I hope we see him again.

Does anyone know why the fight was stood back up when Casey had the Punks back. That was BS if that was an action standup. They gave Casey no time to work at all.

People. Check the time when he has his back, it goes from 3:05 to 1:40 directly there and then he stands em up when it's 1:20 left, that is around 2 min he had his back. Still, IMO you should never stand a fight up when someone has someones back. But it wasn't complete controversy now that we know all that time had gone.
