He has pulled guard against Aleks also. Its a good sign that he doesn't mind being on his back. But I'd like to see him work on gnp defense also.

Nastula did great. His ground is very impressive. I think however, that his cardio may still be lacking. Props nonetheless

His gas was what caused him to lose his earlier fights. He also appeared a bit winded when they were cleaning up Drago. You're right that he's inexperienced and that this could've contributed to him gassing, but if he can't maintain the pace in order to dominate a fight without breathing like Bob Sapp after 5 minutes - he'll never beat a top ranked opponent

It could be that he was pulling guard, but it may have also been a failed takedown attempt. At least against Nogueira, he pulled of a baddass takedown where Nastula fell backwards and to the side while sweeping out Nogueira's legs. Nog ended up on his back.

Either way though, he looked fantastic. Actually, he has looked great in all fights considering who he fought. It's always been his stamina that is suspect, too bad this fight didn't go long enough to really show any cardio improvement. Really good performance though.

Yea I caught that too. He did seem to be breathing hard. On another note did anybody catch what he said to Drago when he had him in full mount??? He lowered his chin to Drago's forhead and said somethin to him, but I wasn't able to make it out.

Well, he pulled guard under 1 minute into first round, after exchanging punches he thought better to go to the ground and clearly did it ...

his grappling form is really impressive and entertaining.. i knew he would take this fight. i want to see him go places. if he improves his gas he can take it up in the ranks a little, not vs top 5 fighters yet of course but the reason he gets submitted late in the fight is because his motor is going to sleep. let's hope he can get really dedicated to MMA.
