Hughes vs. Alves <Official!!!!! >

http://www.matt-hughes.com/

OMFG!

I respect Joe Silva for making this fight happen... Tremendous striker vs. Tremendous Wrestler!

Should be fun to watch either way it goes down...but I believe hughes takes it to the ground and gnp's him out...

Alves could be a scary fight for Hughes though in his last fight he didn't allow Karo to get the best of him on the ground and did a great job of defending while down there.

I am glad that Hughes will be fighting again before he meets up with Serra.

(My choice...Hughes via experience and ability to get guys other than GSP to the ground and work them over)

Hes TD defense as been improving alot since hes fight with Jon Fitch and look good against Karo i think he could knock Hughes out.

I think Hughes takes this . He's much better than GSP makes him look. Should be a good fight though.

Alves may be the number 2 170-pounder out there..he sure looked better than either Fitch or Hughes last time out.

Alves will win by TKO. Hughes is at the end of his road.

I dont think I'll enjoy this fight...I want Thiago to TKO Hughes but i think Hughes will get the TD and get a submission in probably the 2nd or 3rd round, although Thiago had a good TDD against Karo, unfortunately Karo has to be much closer for his takedown and Hughes's wrestling style is much diffrent than Karo's judo
But if Alves does win it should definately set him up with a fight with the Serra vs Hughes winner IMO; I'd like to see Thiago go to the top
