I think it's legal now.

I believe they're similar to SHOOTO rules, ring enclosure, no elbows, and counts for legitimate knockdowns, but otherwise it's MMA the way you and I know it with GNP, subs, and all that.

I'm not French, so I'm not an expert. Can someone confirm it?

I can confirm it. The new law can be found here: http://www.kwoon.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19456

The real change is that it was previously forbidden to organize a fight where it was legal to strike someone on the ground. This new law only authorizes striking on the ground with the fists, plus after three unblocked strikes, the fight is stopped.

Elbows are banned, either standing or on the ground.

So it's still a bit crappy, but better than nothing.
