i thought the Nog/Mir fight could go either way, but thought the Page/Wand fight was easy to call that Page would win.
Wands record since the last time he beat Page
5-5
now
5-6
at one point dropped 3 straight with 2 via KO. then he nailed Jardine whom has no chin. since his first fight Arona, any one who has kept up with Wand should of noticed he was going through a stage of decline from that point on forward. it was evident, that was the topic of the boards for a while. (Wand won last night, but did any one notice he didnt look aggressive as he used to?). he has been through some shit, cant expect him to be on top forever.
and Page was since the last time he lost to Wand
7 - 2
now
8 - 2
and one of those losses, an ass whooping to Shogun, but early in the fight Page had a broken rib. so its not as if he had a actual shot at winning that one. then the other loss, prolly the most controversial loss of the year to Forrest
to Wands credit, he looked good tonight till he got caught. its not as if he was getting his ass torn up, just one punch. he tried to slug it out with a really strong puncher. Wands "prime years" were around 2000 till around 04-05ish. its about to be 2009, cant expect him to be on top forever. and like i pointed out, Page has looked great since his last fight with Wand and is showing no signs of fighting too much catching up to him yet.
i will be a die hard Wand fan forever, and seeing him get KOd tonight wasnt easy on me to watch, but i saw it coming.

as for Nog, the only thing that pisses me off...is that Nog has such great recovery rate that i wish the ref let the fight go a few punches more. with Nog, who knows he could of snapped out of it and still subed Mir.
but again, look at Nog. fight with Hearing, got dropped. fight with Timmy, got dropped. just 2 fights before the Heath fight, got dropped by Barnett. fight with Mir, got dropped and stopped. somebody was bound to capitalize on him getting dropped so much nowadays.
i think the first fight with Josh signaled Nogs evident start of decline. and it could of been before that but we didnt notice because he was fighting fighters smaller than him or not enough MMA experience and couldnt possibly expose he was starting to slow down....
i will forever love Nog and Wand
