Interesting conclusion.

I do think that sometimes he is excited or winded from body shots. He has a huge drive to win - and when he sees an opening he puts everything he has into it.

Haven't you been reading these reply's? If it doesn't work in the ring, it won't work in the street. Anyone can eye gouge, pull hair, strike your throat. You don't need Shaolin Kempo for that. Unless you find someone either totally drunk or ignorant to fighting, your Kempo is useless. Any high school wrestler would be able to take you down and either just control you from there, or GNP you into a pulp. PM that other guy from Rockford, and let him hook you up with a mixed martial art.

Can't argue with reason.

Huh? You don't even know what the fuck it is, so why even speak?

The reason you never seen any "Shaolin Kempo" in MMA is because any REAL practitioners of the old Shorin styles are pretty much disabled, or dead. When karate was evolving in the 20th century people were/are pussies about training in the old ways, so they "modified" it to be more efficent to people learning. The old, hard training methods were dropped for quick belt promotion and the fast buck.
If you were to see any Shaolin style kempo fighters in the UFC most likely they will have trained directly under Hohan Soken, or Yuichi Kuda's students. Even so, more than half of the people that you talk to that said they trained under either of these people in fact have not. My family would goto martial art schools often where they said they knew people that we knew, and when asked about these people, the subjects would suddenly get changed.
Best form/technique in any martial art has to goto the true, old Shorin training methods. People talk about BJJ blackbelt taking forever to get. Shit, try 10 years of basics before you even begin learning.

I will try not to say anything bad about all of your styles so i'll shut up. All I will say is what you train is cake compared to what people used to put themselves through.

Any people that want a good read on what could be considered "shaolin kempo", do a google search for Hohan Soken. ( The last living Samurai) (Dead now, =0p)
