Why do you want Rampage in the UFC....so you can see the rematch with Chuck?
|
That pretty much sums up the argument. These rematches are taking place because, with the exception of Ortiz-Shamrock II, they are the top matches that can be made in certain divisions. Babalu is the top contender for the UFC LHW title, no one else in the UFC is close. Arlovski and Sylvia have been the company's two best HWs for the last year, no one else really earned a shot. If you are complaining about St. Pierre-Hughes II than you are just whining for the sake of whining, that is the most highly anticipated rematch I could possibly imagine.

I must say though St. Pierre and Babalu deserve a rematch.
Arlovski may too, a year or so down the line.

It is not a matter of deep divisions. The problem is that there are only so many people that can fight at a championship level. Look at Silva. He has fought a lot of tough opponents, many of which are either a weight class above or below.

Yes Babalu and Liddell sounds interesting, but if/when chuck beats babalu again people will start bitching about how they are tired of rematches.
In other words, if the outcome is the same people will bitch.

i love how everyone forgets silva vs chuck in the ufc. lol i mean yes rematches happen but how many times did we see nog vs fedor , saku vs silva, yoshida vs silva, rampage vs silva(granted they were epic but still),cro cop vs randleman, cro cop vs barnett , arona vs silva
people might say well those rematches needed to happen. well then whats the problem with gsp being the number 1 contender agian and hughes having to defend the belt? same with babalu he earned it. It happens.
