TUF 1 the dust has settles

before starting my english is awful i am french from quebec just like GSP "from the same town" lol i speak english better then him but i must write as bad as him lol hehe

i am at my job and i have some time to waste so here i go

So this thread is about TUF one fighters that are still with the UFC

we will continue to see those fighter for a wille so better get use to it
what match are left for these fighters ?

1- Chris Leben

he is the first to make a huge impact because of his crazy action in the show.Even if he din't win a match in TUF 1 he made a huge fallowing ... his record after the show speak for itself

Win Jorge Santiago
Loss Anderson Silva KO (Knee)
Win Luigi Fioravanti Decision (Unaminous)
Win Jorge Rivera TKO (Strikes)
Win Edwin Dewees Submission (Armbar)
WIN Patrick Cote Decision (Split)
Win Jason Thacker TKO

even if he has a tons of haters because of his sloppy stand up he can still do the job and make really entertaning fight with : cote ,franklin ... even if he's not ready , loiseau and swick shoudl fight him next year ...

2- Diego Sanchez

The weird diego din't make many fan in TUF but everyone saw his potentien when he destroyed the division he was in on the show ... even with a perfect record people still though he could not hang with the best of the devision... but after his win again't karo parisyan
some fans starting to give him mutch more credit and start to put him up for a title shot finaly one fighter who got out of TUF shadow

Win Karo Parisyan Decision (Unanimous)
Win John Alessio Decision (Unanimous)
Win Nick Diaz Decision (Unanimous)
Win Brian Gassaway Submission (Strikes)
Win Kenny Florian TKO (Strikes)

Next match to come : B.J Penn , GSP , Matt hughes proving that diego is worth the hype he had TUF may have hurt his chance of being a fan favorite because of his comment's but he proved that he is one of the next big thing in the UFC

3- Forrest Griffin

Forest just got a decision victory over Bonnar
finaly he will get some real competition in the Light heavyweight divison but he need to improve ... his split decison defeat again't TITO ORTIZ showed that he has some chance againt's the top of the devision but he still miss some tools to be able to beat liddel...

Win Stephan Bonnar Decision (Unanimous)
Loss Tito Ortiz Decision (Split)
Win Elvis Sinosic TKO (Punches)
Win Bill Mahood Submission (Rear Naked Choke)
Win Stephan Bonnar Decision (Unanimous)

a rematch with ortiz is a must . liddel would ko him but we never know , babalu would be a good match up for him standing.. the light heavyweight division will need him the most right now there is not a lot of top guys left ...

4- mike swick

a match with loiseau is waiting for him soon i wish him luck he will need it ... we all know swick is a good striker but if he goes in trying to slug with loiseau he might have a surprise
but we never know in the world of MMA. his victory over joe riggs showed that he is more than just a one hit wonder...

Win Joe Riggs Submission (Guillotine Choke)
Win Steve Vigneault Submision (Guillotine Choke)
Win Gideon Ray TKO (Strikes)
Win Alex Schoenauer KO (Punch

if he win again't loiseau a match with the looser of franklin VS silva might await's him since he is undefeated ... but there must be a rematch again't LEBEN first and there is still Nathan Marquardt and Evan Tanner before feeding him to franklin or silva

5-Kenny florian

i wasent expecting anything ouf of kenflow when i saw him at first maybe because he wasent in the right division for him since going down in weight class i see that he might have some chance at suprising the top fighter in lightweight devision

Win Sam Stout Submission (Rear Naked Choke)
Win Kit Cope Submission (Rear Naked Choke)
Win Alex Karalexis TKO (Cut)
Loss Diego Sanchez TKO (Strikes)

the lightweight division is just restarting in the Ufc so we might see a lot of kenflow
the master of the cutting elbow has a match with sherk if i am right witch might make him or break him cause his reccord is not as impresive as the other fighter above him
might see him VS Mark Hominick "who lost a big match right after his UFC victory"
or . Joe Stevenson but i don't expect to have him succed as mutch as the other fighter from TUF but we neverknow

6- Stephan Bonnar

bonnar lost to griffin witch made him pretty mutch out of a title match for a wille but he never got KO or sub so the UFC has to make him fight a couple of more fight

Loss Forrest Griffin Decision (Unanimous)
Loss Rashad Evans Decision (Majority)
Win Keith Jardine Decision (Unaminous)
Win James Irvin Submission (Kimura)
Win Sam Hoger Decision (Unaminous)
Loss Forrest Griffin Decision (Unanimous)

i see bonnar fighting the bottom of the lightheavyweight and if he lose one more fight might be realease maybe a rematch wth griffin if griffin lost 2 match in a row ...

7- Josh Koscheck

WOW did josh koscheck improved from his showing on TUF . he learned some stand up , still not great but at least he will improve his chance of getting a take down. he is still far from being in a title match but he made the right choice to get into that weightclass too bad we won't see him fight LEBEN a rematch would have braught some money to the UFC

Win Jonathan Goulet Submission (Strikes)
Win Dave Menne Decision (Unanimous)
Win Ansar Chalangov Submission (Rear Naked Choke)
Loss Drew Fickett Technical Submission (Rear Naked Choke)
Win Pete Spratt Submission (Rear Naked Choke)
Win Chris Sanford KO (Punch)

josh is getting up the ranking slowly but might have a great future in the MMA world
he is world class wrestler and has some submission
he has a lot of fan hate him for what he did to leben in TUF
i see him fighting diego, karo , and the looser of bj or matt huges might have one more match before going againt's the big boys of the division

8- Nathan Quarry

his lost again't franklin hurt him really really bad ... we din't hear from him since but the title shoot was too soon too bad he will bounce back

Loss Rich Franklin KO (Punch)
Win Pete Sell TKO (Strikes)
Win Shonie Carter TKO (Strikes)
Win Lodune Sincaid TKO (Strikes)

he beated some good fighter but nothing really awsome he has a sloppy stand up like leben but with the team quest behind him we never know i don't see nathan fighting for a title soon maybe the same guy swick and leben just beated ...

who will be the longest lasting TUF in the UFC ... ?
and what fight are you awating the most

ps: don't flame me for writting in a bad english i know it must be hard for some to read some shit i wrote lol

Good thread, despite the "Englache". I really liked the analysis, all very logical, not a lot of fanboy rally cries going on. I hope Nate gets better soon as well, even though I don't think he will ever be top shelf.

Leben should drop to knock out koscheck then coem back up to beat swick after his lost to the crow

longest lastina I believe will be diego, leben , and koscheck cause he has gotten better still hate the guy, other than that griffin is really annoying and will be out in the next year, he hasnt improved at all hes still the same fighter

Diego is imho by far the best of the TUF:ers this far. Maybe Bisping can prove to be the real deal too. Only time will tell.

IMO the UFC is gonna try and keep the most well known around for a long time. like Forrest, Bonnar, Diego, Leben, and Koscheck. what did they do when Koscheck lost? they fed him a guys they knew he could beat so they can try and build him up more and keep him. they really didnt give Forrest good competition either until Tito Ortiz. but the UFC will keep all the TUFers around until they retire. its a smart thing to do to. but to answer the question it hink the longest lasting one will be Diego. i mean the guy has proven himself big time against Karo and is looking at a title shot dead in the eye.

while I would never make fun of someone for having bad english, because a.) its rude and b.) i appreciated you taking the time to learn our language, the same way I learned french and when I went to france, attempted to speak it.....

....BUUUTT the TUF fighters really are sorta old news...I mean people really make too big of a deal out of TUF. What TUF really does is act as a televised recruitment ceremony, and nothing more. The reason these fighters get big is not based on their skill, but the cable tv mainstream exposure that people who were already in MMA never received. Nick Diaz summed that up in one of his interviews...he was justifiably upset that he was around fighting and winning and was sorta overlooked when he took on Diego because Diego was on 'TUF'.

As long as people realize TUF is just a recruitment show and a way for Dana the UFC to advertise their shows, I dont see anything wrong with it. Before TUF, we had to check sherdog for any information, and the UFC website, which was not that frequently updated...

the TUF era has meant so much coverage that I can eat, sleep, and drink MMA all day. Which is the same damn thing football fans do scoring their fantasy players and obsessing over trades and coaching changes.

I love TUF for what it has done, and love that fact that they are keeping it up. As far as good TV goes, its only about a 5, but I'd rather have a 5 in MMA then a 10 in baseball...and thats because I consider MMA to be 'my sport.'
