The Ultimate Sherdogger Season Three:
After last seasons entertainment and trash talking (and occasionally the odd battle) between Guardaian and BBQ garnered worldwide praise and record ratings, it has been decided to bring the top rated show The Ultimate Sherdogger back for a third season. Akin to past seasons we will be mixing up the best up-and-coming fighters in the betting threads along with seasoned professionals.
The show will work as follows:
The draft has been completed, that no longer matters – Asuop was given 1st pick on the draft, CAN 1st pick of the fights.
Due to the lack of knowledge of the participants, only the events used for SPC will be used (Purely UFC – sigh, whatever happened to Sig/AV’s and pick’em being used to learn something about other fighters!)
There will be 2 fights per event. CAN has 1st choice of the fight at UFC 80 (our first event) Asuop will have second pick.
There will be 2 “hammers” this year. If CAN wins 1 fight and Asuop wins 1 fight, then they will both get picks at the following event. Whichever WINNING fighter get’s the highest score, his coach will get first pick at the next event. If both fighters are tied, then total cumulative score on each team will be used, and the team with the highest score will get the first fight pick’em.
Obviously if (for example) CAN wins both his fights at an event, he will get both picks for the next event.
Due to a backlash from participants, Variable betting is not mandatory, but is encouraged. If you are going to be betting variables, both participants in the fight must agree, and inform me before picks are sent in. You should also inform HellaCopter, as the fight will go on the Sig/Av thread too.
Any complaints regarding Variable betting will result in compulsory betting upon variables being made.
Each fight in the show (including the opening coach pick’em) will be scored using old-school pick’em rules, where points are scored on the place of the fighter (9 through 1 generally) and 4 points for the fighter winning. Method and rounds will count as tie-breakers.
The final of this season is the exception to the above, and will be scored using standard SPC rule.
In the event of a tie-break situation points from Methods and rounds will be tallied with the tie-break score and the fighter with the overall score will progress.
Picks from coaches should be in no later than 2 days before the start of the event and sent to me, in the event of a no-show, an alternate will be used. If no alternates can be sourced then the fighter who sent their picks in will progress.
Finally, The winner of this seasons ultimate Sherdogger will be awarded a title shot. This shot will come at the first UFC Pay-Per-View after the final has taken place. (This has been agreed with HellaCopter)

1st event is UFC 80. The second event is the UFN on the 12th. Due to the close nature of the events, I want the matches announced before the end of Sunday, and picks to me by the end of Tuesday.

Guys please be reminded that while it is a competition and flaming/trash talking is encouraged – keep the personal hate (continuous swearing at CAN lol!) to a minimum, it just looks bad when you go through the thread and see “Fuck You” in every second line of the thread!
