Aleks against Tim would be a great match, Aleks is a hard hitter and extremly good at aviding punches. Great footwork in the standing game!

Not a bad matchup. I like Tim if the fight stays standing for the entire time. I think a guy with Alek's build will have trouble shooting, so IMO it comes down to how well he can work from an upper body clinch.

Hate to say it, but I think Tim takes this one.

Aleksander by any way he wants..... He's a better striker than Sylvia and is also better on the ground. Aleks has a solid sambo backround. I saw him demonstrate personally and he looked very fluid and transitional with submissions. Also showed very good throwing techniques from the clinch. This is a bit off topic but I'm sure he'd fold AA too.

Dunno about this one...Aleks still has to beat a top tier guy IMO and I don't like sylvia but he is the ufc champ...and he CAN fight

I think Aleksander would win this one. Unless Aleks gasses Tim would be in deep trouble. Aleks is better both standing and on the ground.

Aleks could use some fine tuning of his groundwork to be able to compete on the ground with the elite grapplers like Barnett, Nog, Werdum, ect., but Aleks was indeed able to escape submissions from Nastula and eventually choke him out. The submission wasn't silky smooth like a Nog sub, but it was legit and it wasn't like he had Nastula KOed already and just jumped on his back. It was no fluke that Aleks was able to hang with a great judoka like Nastula on the ground; he has ground skills to go with his superb striking. Aleks is a running/swimming routine and a few grappling seminars from competing with the best HWs. His future is very bright if he continues to improve and improves his conditioning and pacing.

Actually i saw Morais Thompson Barnettt and Crocop fight
4 fights where aleks pretty much stood the whole time
in fact i'd like to see aleks' ground game if you can refer me to one so i can check it out
the only video i've seen where aleks work on the ground was when fedor was in korea with aleks and was demonstrating sambo which i don't think really counts
