Sokoudjou in cameroonian forums

I was pretty surprised the man who took the mma world by storm is a nobody among his own people. The main reason being mma is nothing yet in africa contrary to the rest of the world. The few people who saw sokoudjou fights can not understand why a cameroonian is cornered by a all-white team instead of fellow cameroonians. And surprisingly his age is seriously debated as none of them believe the man is 22. I learnt sokoudjou real name is thierry kamwa, the name sokoudjou is only born by one royal family in the west of cameroon

OK...what's your point? Fedor isn't that well known in Russia either. Really only in the US and Japan do MMA fighters have true name/face recognition and even there it's still slow penetration.
