wow, ok, i gotta mention some things

no1) shogun doing so well in SPITE of his technical shortcomings is a TESTAMENT to how much talent he has. it's like watching someone become the champ in boxing using one arm, and me being like "he really should start using the other arm" and all the fanboys being like "HE BEAT X, Y, AND Z THREADSTARTER OMG!!!"

no2) i've been saying shogun has holes in his game for a while, and not only me, several other people on sherdog have mentioned it

no3) rampage winced because he was hit in his injured rib, shogun FURTHER injured it. if u have a broken arm, and i punch it, and you wince, it's not proof that i broke it.

no4) i swear, this place is the most handicap friendly website on earth- for proof see how many mentally retarded people responded to my thread. As a huge BJ fan, it's funny how the pride fanboys bash us - probably bitter because he smashed gomi (another talented fighter with gaping holes in his game).

wandy right now is better than shogun. defense is better, accurace of strikes, agression, takedown defense. both their takedowns suck, and their ground game is comparable (although i'd say shogun has the edge on gnp. and yes, i know his GI level bjj is better, but wandy seems to be more active off his back).

You really need to drop the "Rampage had an injured rib before the fight" angle. It just makes me think that you're a troll that's intentionally trying to sound stupid.

Rampage was 100% going into the fight and Shogun broke his rib with a kick to the body and followed that up with knees, punches and soccer kicks to the face.

To try to take anything away from Shogun and his destruction of a top 5 LHW is just ignorant trolling.

Yes Shogun has been overrated for a long time. But his grand prix win will always be something worth watching for any fan of MMA.

Shogun was seriously over rated untill he got beat by Forrest, and he still kind of is in my opinion. To be honest he was lucky that injury saved him from the most brutal loss of his career at the hands of Liddell.
