He let us all down and forgot to beat Griffin.
Even his performance at PRIDE 33 was way better. -_-

a torn acl is probably the worst sports injury an athlete can have. nba players miss entire seasons when they tear an acl.

I agree to some degree. But, Forrest isn't Sluggish, and Shogun isn't sloppy, he just isn't as technical. And you are making the mistake of breaking each thing down, when you need to realize, this isn't a boxing match, kickboxing, or wrestling match, it is a fight, and Shogun is an amazing fighter. He knows how to go to something else when his current plan isn't working, and you can't teach that. He adapts, and no matter how good someone is at each thing, if they can't do that, they are going to lose.

The thread should've been titled:
"What's next for Shogun now that he has to pee in a cup before each fight....."

He's 1 and 1 in american, drug tested MMA fights, and his one loss came with a fucking broken knee.
You fail.

That being said, i'm not saying shogun sucks. i'm saying, he's overrated on SHERDOG.
people act like he's the undisputed king of 205- chuck would kill him, wandy would beat him, tito could probably take him, machida could take him, i bet rampage could take him now.
he must change his training routine if he wants to CONTINUE his success, which he definately achieved early in his careere (at that time, MMA wasn't as evolved as it is today).
he was ahead of the game at one point- the game evolved, and he didn't.
and no, shogun did not look any different than he ever did. that first round, he fought just as well as he did against anybody else in mma, but name me one fighter he's fought who'se as well rounded as forrest, as large as forrest, and has as good cardio as forrest does

Your full of shit. Rampage got his rib broken in the fight, and you can literally SEE HIM LOOK AT HIS CORNER AND SAY " HE BROKE MY RIB".
It's in the video of the fight. Your just completely moronic now. Go away before you embarass yourself even more.

Me fail? No I don't think so.
Shogun getting his ass beat by a guy named Forest is a FAIL.
Move on, nothing to see here.........

He's actually 2-1. He beat Randleman at PRIDE 32 and Overeem at PRIDE 33. Then he lost to Forrest.
If you want to go even further back, he's 3-2 fighting in the states.
