Rugby vs mma

this may seem like a stupid question at first but after a little thought mayby not. what sport is more dangerous rugby or mma? bearing in mind that in my country alone every few years their are reports of deaths on the rugby field. apparently there have been no deaths in mma, sure rugby is played more frequently and there are bound to be deaths in mma over time.

So which one is more dangerous and why? one of my theories for rugby being more dangerous is that their are no weight divisions. Would this then mean that rugby players are tougher then mma fighters?

This is my first post, i live in South Africa and recently discovered the sport of mma and love it, i think i still prefer rugby because you get to suppourt your nation and feel patriotic which isn't really the case in mma. Or atleast not as much, cause people dont tend to choose fighters based on country of origin. so i guess this post is about comparing the two sports because both sports give you an incredible adrenaline rush wether watching or playing, due to their sheer danger.
