I can't believe the Gracie name is going to be further denigrated. Not that I'm a Royce fan or anything, I did laugh when Hughes destroyed him but enough is enough I don't want this fight to happen.
Sak embarrassed Royce last time. I mean Royce was so useless he couldn't even do anything against Sak. Sak just sat there with his head out of the ring and leaned on the ropes. He made Royce look like a blue belt. Then Sak tried to pull Royce's pants down for a minute or so.
HE TRIED TO PULL ROYCE'S FUCKEN PANTS DOWN!!!!
... and there was nothing Royce could do about it. How embarrassing is that. You'd have to think the Gracie family wanted to crawl under a rug or something.
When Sak decided to turn it on, he demolished Royce.
Now we have an even older Royce who is still a one dimensional fighter. Old, weak, zero standup with what could be described today as "good" JJ skills.
Sak on the other hand is also old and injured but at least was a very skilled fighter in his day. I wouldn't give Royce that acclaim, I mean he could beat boxers and people that never fought a guy in pajamas before but the only good fight he had was his rematch with Yoshida. I'm bummed Sak is now relegated to fighting lower tiered fighters in order to get a win. I feel back for Sak because he really was a great and creative/inventive fighter, I hate to see him having to fight people on Royce's level.
I guess it comes down to money and I can't blame people for wanting to make money. I just wish Royce would stick to teaching and finally retire from "getting his ass handed to him" or what he calls "fighting". When you're famous, people will still pay you and want to see you so if the money comes calling, I guess it's pretty easy to pretend you're still relevant.
I wonder what kind of excuse Royce will have this time for the beating an old injured Sak will give him. Hopefully he'll be more inventive that after the Hughes beatdown when he said "the reason I lost was because I over trained". Shit, don't know what was more pathetic, his performance or his excuse.......makes him look even more .... aw never mind.
