I actually believe this story, or at least the vast majority of it. That's pretty cool man.
True story, I was at a post fight party in Ottawa and I met Dan Henderson, Phil Baroni, Tito Ortiz, Gary Goodridge, Carlos Newton, Joe Doerksen, Stephane Potvin, David Loiseau, Pain Peters, Andre Roberts, and plenty of other guys. Joe Doerksen at this bar asked me to go ask this girl if she had a boyfriend, and to tell her that Joe was a fighter. So I went and did it, and she said that she didn't have a boyfriend and laughed when I told her he was a fighter and he flexed when she looked over. Best part about it was she was a fighter's (Craig "Farmer" Brown) girlfriend, and he knew it. So it was really a joke on me more than anything. Amazing tiem, met all the fighters, including a pretty lengthy talk with Dan Henderson, who is my favorite fighter of all time.

Matt Hughes wanted to slap me last time I saw him in the Mandalay poker room.
I was dealt Ace-9 spades, he was dealt pocket Kings.
We'd been playing at the same table for a few days straight and since I'm a former college wrestler turned mma junky too we had talked and gotten to know each other a little bit. Anyways, Hughes is down to one rack of chips due to some tough luck, and sure enough, after he raises, I cap the pre-flop betting. Matt then looks at me and after joking about me raising him, he proposes a 1 dollar side bet on who has the better hand pre-flop, saying "me and my brother do this all the time". After talking a little smack about how we'll have to see about that, I agree.
And then the fllop comes down: Ace, Ace, Ace.
I am now sitting with 4 Aces, while he has a full house, Aces over Kings. The rest of the hand was me huffing and puffing, acting nervous, check raising, capping, etc. etc.
Long story short, after I take literally every last chip from Hughes' rack, he takes his 2 dollars in chips from the side bet that he had technically won, and tells me "well, at least I'm leaving with something. I'm going to go work out."
