just to add: cops ALWAYS pull weapons after a chase. you can't anticipate the mind set of a person that crashes into several cars continues driving, crashes into another, tries to keep going, etc.....no matter what race he is.

Before you are booked they ask you a series of questions such as Have you ever thought about hurting yourself or others? Most fighters think about hurting others. If you say that, you go to the mental hospital. I would guess they didn't like his answers to their questions. The police did say they did not suspect he was on drugs.

Happened today 7/15/08 at approx 1:45pm in Newport Beach Peninsula infront of 19th and Balboa!
His front left tire and rim were completely gone so I'm guesing he was intoxicated and hit something but continued driving till the po-po got'em!
