He's become very smart as to pacing, storytelling, and the less is more aspect over the last 6 months or so.

While hardly ever a top worker, Shelton has always had a lot of in ring talent beyond his raw athelticism. As often cited as it is, I really thought his Gold Rush match with HBK would turn him into a star as he had his best match ever in front of a very hot crowd on RAW. I agree that he's improving as he's had some really good matches over the past few months, particularly both of his Taker matches, his last Helms match and his match with Triple H

You could tell how much Taker likes him as that second match especially was really the Shelton show throughout.

I liked the Waterproof Blond version and his Evanescence ripoff in TNA better. I didnt really care for his "Tantrum" theme that was later given to Tomko and didnt like the Queen ripoff either.

Yeah his theme is terrible now. The Waterproof Blonde version was killer. This lacks the punch that one had.

So many times and matches seemed like it was gonna really propel Shelton but it never happened including his MITB performances. I think MVP is getting the title shot this year.

True especially after the first money in the bank when he looked awesome and did some crazy spots

Agreed. It sounds so much better with Waterproof Blonde singing it than whoever that whiny-sounding dude is that's doing the current version.

I'd love for that to happen. Guy was insanely over down here a couple of months ago and it's not like SD can't use another top-level face.

MVP, Christian and Shelton are the only 3 I can see winning MITB in that order of liklihood. I like all 3 as new additions to the main event so I'd be fine with any of them
