I enjoy watching Stan, and am a fan of his the same as you.
Oops, I forgot this famous example. I imagine Hansen and Vader (pre-match) agreed to go extra-stiff since they both enjoy it. Like they both got their "rocks off" at least until Vader had to poke his own eye back into place.

Even then, they didn't go to a quick finish. They still beat the shit out of each other for a bit.

Pro wrestling is extremely tough on the body. Anyone who thinks these guys aren't physically tough is nuts.

I don't think there's any footage of Raven ever having a good pro wrestling match in his entire life, and I don't think he's been involved in any match in the last five years that wasn't garbage wrestling. I digress though, enough ranting.
While Raven might not be the greatest ring technician in the world, in my opinion, there's no one better when it comes to actual ring psychology. He knows how to take the crowd and literally make them do whatever he wants them to do.

Part of working is having ring psychology, and he's right, the vast majority and young wrestlers have absolutely no idea about ring psychology. If you've had your knee worked over the entire match, you can't then sprint across the ring, run up to the top rope and perform a corkscrew moonsault, there's no structure in that and it makes your opponents offence throughout the match completely meaningless, which then makes the story within the match completely pointless.

You can't have every 5'8" 175lber on the roster Hulking Up and doing their nice pretty flippy floppy shit, because it just doesn't work that way.

Exactly. Vader was also a master of psychology, and didn't always have to rely on the classic big man vs. little man stuff. Watch his King of Cable tournament final with Sting and you'll be shocked it wasn't given 5 stars. The psychology of Sting using his superior conditioning to make Vader punch himself out ala Ali vs. Foreman was beautiful to watch unfold and one of the best examples of story telling you can ever see, and yeah it was a Sting match.
he acknowledges vader's stiffness. its not like he is pretending that the rules don't apply to one of his guys. i'm sure he docked points for the stiffness, but that is only one of the criteria for the voting.

you would have been 7 or 8 years old. forgive me if i don't buy your bullshit on that one. besides you have continued to ignore every post listing the skilled guys that were in ecw.

on another topic, why haven't you made a blog update (nationalsportsreview) in a while?

As much as I hate when I'm forced to say this, Zane's right on this one. It is pretty hypocritical to in one breath say Vader was a great worker, one of the greatest big men ever, and in the next breath say anyone who throws stiff shots to make them look good can't work. Acknowledging Vader's stiffness only makes it more so.

I've said it before, but I'll say it again. In HD, spray on tans make you look like an Oompaloompa.

The ending was relatively easy to see coming, but obviously a let down not to have the clean finish. Million Dollar Man is still great, and making his case in timely fashion for our HOF.

yeah, it was generally pretty boring all around. dibiase was interesting enough, but frankly between cena, HHH and orton i'm not sure who i despise more. for some reason after such a long layoff i wasn't expecting the same three tired acts vying for the title.

and is it just me or has orton gotten worse on the mic in the past year?
