I got the idea for this thread from the "Pro-Canada, my home and native land" thread that turned into a decent NHL debate. So I thought I'd give it a legit home.

Goaltending is always a HUGE part in a teams success & there is lots to talk about. Will Hasek be able to stay healthy long enough to get the Wings another Stanley Cup? Remember before he got injured his stats were atop the NHL, so he still has the ability.

Will Raycroft lead the Leafts back to the playoffs? Can Huet match his stats from last season. What about Luango in Vancouver, can he help turn around this team? Will Cam Ward in Carolina prove he's the real deal of just another flash in the pan? Etc ....

I am a wings fan, i am also a hasek fan.

I was pissed when they signed hasek this time around. He is too old and too unstable on the injury front.

There are 4-5 good goalies still out there via trade and the wings could have had one of them for not too high of a price.
