I meant winning consistently. 1 win doesnt make you anything. having 3 wins to 2 losses in a tiny show doesnt make you a great fighter. if you had a record like fedor or machs id think youre a great fighter no matter how you did it. but you dont. in the world of mma youre the man?? HAH! you're nobody! you dont think winning is important? you think the big shows take the entertaining losers? you get places by fucking WINNING alright? its a fucking competitive SPORT! its not the actors guild, its not a fucking reality show. its a SPORT the fighters you named that went through gladiator challenge.. do they have the same kind of 3:2 record? No, you have to fucking win to make it to the next level. yeah i know you're uneducated and you're not denying it. you can look up my name in alumni records with a masters degree. you're another poor ass guy talking shit on machida who's 10 times what you are.

you get to fight the best by WINNING! you get to be the best by WINNING! thats how a SPORT works! quinton and wandy are two of your favorite fighters right? they go all out and try to ktfo the other guy. but they do it and maintain a winning record while doing it. if they didnt win so much, nobody would care about them. wandy would be another james thompson. winning is ultimately the bottom line in any sport. i dont like talking to uneducated morons and its late. i have to work the next day. lets just make our peace with it alright. some dont like machida, some do, im sick of these conversations.

if you think hes boring, thats fine. a lot of people think hes interesting and exciting to watch. maybe some of you think the main priority an mma fighter should have is being a good entertainer, but i think their main priority should be being a good athlete. what entertains me is watching the best of the best showing off their skills to defeat each other, and thats what machida does. thats entertainment to me.

id rather watch the spurs than the harlem globetrotters. id rather watch the technique and strategy with the best of the sport trying to outthink and outplay over a flashy slam dunk or trick shot game to amuse imbeciles. if the dunks help to win the game, than good, part of the game. if not, id rather seeing the team stick to the layups and jumpshots, doing whatever they have to do, and be the best in the sport whether its flashy or not. thats how i see it with machida.
I also pose this question for you ....
if the spurs are up by 15 at the beginning of the 4th quarter and instead of going for baskets they just pass the ball around for 23 seconds then flip it off the rim not actually trying to score but to reset the shot clock and pass the ball around repeat would you keep watching after 5 minutes because in the end they will have a win?

just my humble opinion, but if you take Machida's lesson in patience, footwork, technique and mental discipline during a fight, then you would stand a much greater chance at winning your title bout.

as an intelligent person, i'm sure you understand that the pool of knowledge is bottomless and that adapting to successful techniques and tactics --- rather than dismissing them as "boring" (which is nothing more than subjective personal preference) --- is the mark of an intelligent fighter.

good luck.

2nd round - 1 big low kick, 1 big high kick, made Tito take guard, ended it with a big knee. Busts Tito's face open.

I suggest all those that doubt Machida watch the fight again with an open mind. You might appreciate it more watching it by yourself instead of at a bar with all your friends like that night.
i think so too, ppl watch Machida's fights with prejudice. And there are some folks believe it or not who are just going crazy over what their frnd's told them or based on Sherdog's PBP.

Machida lacks aggression, but has a lot of technique. His style is to counter aggressive fighters and when he meets lackluster competition, he just methodically breaks them down.

3rd round - makes Guy Levine fall on his ass with the force, escapes Tito's clinch, busts Tito's face some more, dodges and makes Tito shoot like a retard into the wall, gets pushed against the wall but still can't get taken down, drops Tito with a beautiful knee, GnPs him, escapes a tight triangle.

Yep he's a boring fighter.

Nobody should be doubting Machida's status and ability as one of the best LHW's out there.

if they did that Lakers or whoever else they were playing (if they wanted to win) would start playing very aggressive going for rebounds and steals and pressuring the Spurs into making the mistake.

Tito did not do that, he stood there and shadow boxed and went for crappy clinches and take downs.

It takes 2 to make a "boring" fight
