I think Machida is a boring fighter and don't care to see him fight again.

How fucking retarded would that be?
The only reasons anyone gets hit in a fight is 1)they didn't see it coming, 2)they were too slow to evade or 3)they were too STUPID to evade.
1 and 2 are excusable. 3 just leads to low level brain damage.

why would I care what anyone thinks about MY opinion on MMA ?it's my opinion ..
hmmmmm stupid question let me tell you when lyoto lost me better yet show you
a beautifulk knee and in perfect position to grab a thai clinch if you odont see it you're not as educated about mma as you might think tito is fucked up on the way down and instead of following one knee with another this "tactical genius" takes a stap back and to the side not even noticing tito is hurt BECAUSE HE'S LOOKING AWAY! and by the time he does notice instead of getting side control or mount he JUMPS INTO TITO'S GUARD!!! at that moment is when I fell off the machida fence...not smart fighting at all!!! and had he done what I stated clinched and thrown the second knee noone would be disputing his excite factor on sherdog ..

I don't know but the statement wasn't directed to you. But, back to this being a Machida/Miyagi thread, I see his ranking continuing to go up.

Machida has enough speed and skill to move in, land a single shot, move out and eventually pick up a decision. Stuffing Tito's TDs may not be simple, but the real striking skill lies in getting inside, staying inside and taking minimal damage while you throw combinations at your opponent.
Single, infrequent punches and kicks not only aren't exciting, they aren't effective for someone with apparently very little power.
I give Machida respect for getting wins, but to the folks that think he has super skill and magical TMA mojo, you're deluding yourselves.

for those of you who only like finished fights:

Matt Serra destroyed GSP
Vitor Belfort KO'ed Wand Silva
Rampage KO's Chuck (2nd time)
I don't consider those to be dominant wins, yet these people have finished fights with lucky shots.
Just because someone is dominant doesn't mean that they must finish a fight. To add more pressure on the dominant person, while they are dominating, they could get KO'ed or subbed out of nowhere. Look what happened to Tim Sylvia against Big Nog...and before that, Crocop's beating on Big Nog, but Big Nog submitted him too on a spur-of-the-moment chance.
Chael Sonnen vs Paulo Filho.
Any more examples I need to bring up? I'm not saying these people won easily because they were lucky, but they reached a dominant position without holding it throughout the entire fight...and they had their dominant position for about 5% of the whole fight. Understand me? That is one way to win. To submit or KO the other guy. The other way to win is to out-point, dominate someone else.
If a certain fighter can't catch Machida with quality hits, it's their fault, because he's hitting back more often successfully and gaining points from that.

It's easy to sit on our couches and call the shots of how they should do it on tv. However what we see and what they see are 2 different things, Machida probably didn't know what the hell Ortiz was doing and strafed to get a better idea. He most likely didn't realize that his knee to the body did that kind of damage. We get endless angles from high and low that they don't get when they are right in eachothers faces. You must remember that. In every fight we always see something they don't, and if they was watching us fight from their tvs then they would see the same thing. Machida isn't a coward as we all know, and if he thought he could put you away he would. He must have been confused as to what Ortiz was doing.

Macida ran the whole fight and let's face it. With that triangle Tito was closer to finishing the fight than Machida ever was. There is a difference between being a counter striker like Chuck, who throws punches to end fights and machida who would jab and run
