MMA is mixed martial arts. A organization where fighters from a mixture of different stylish backgrounds meet to see whos style (or use of styles) are the best. Why do fighters have to just go in there and brawl? Why does mma have to be so basic and simple? Why can't everyone have their own style and use it to the best of their ability. *sigh* Just when MMA started to finally evolve people are standing strong to bring it back down to the where it once was in the beginning. What's funny is, you wonder why Machida fans are calling you uneducated to martial arts and that you just want backyard brawls in a cage. Yet you defend yourself with statements like the above qouted in bold and red.

OP has broken logic.
This isn't radio...people don't pay for fighters they don't like.
Personally, I've been a big Machida fan for a while (first fight I saw was vs. Penn, started liking him when he beat Hoger) and wouldn't miss one of his fights.
That said, if people find him boring (which I still don't get), that doesn't supply any additional motivation for ordering one of his fights (IE: the howard stern theory doesn't work here).

Wow, is that envy speaking or is that envy speaking? The only reason another fighter would hate on him is because either 1)they lost a fight to the guy or 2)they're jealous of a skillset that has kept him not only undefeated, but unharmed. I don't see a Jason Drake in Machida's list of victims.

the first time i saw MMA was the first ufc when gracie won it, i had a video tape & loaned it to some friends of mine, what made us wana watch it gagain wasn't thanks to gracie holding hi oponent on the ground for 20 min (thank god skip buttons existed), it was other fighter beating the shit of each other, even if Patrick smith lost, the spectacle he gave us made us wanna see some more. there were a karate guy... we were happy he lost. Theire a reason why i don't watch karate whe it aired on TV

actually nobondy said anything to me thats how I feel ..and how does 2 people beating the snot out of ech other constitute a brawl ?
I.E bj penn vs GSP
chuck lidell vs rampage 1 not 2 that was just an ass whooipin
shogun vs forrest
randy vs sylvia
randy vs tito
tito vs frank shamrock
huerta vs guida
bj penn vs sherk
hughes vs trigg
hughes vs GSP 1 and 2
I wonder how FANS of a sport can call an ATHLETE in the sport uneducated about it ..
that's like if i were to call up brett favre and tell him he doesnt know shit about football just because he doesnt like the same style of play like....
and my taste in fights in what way would make me uneducated about the sport ?
mma began as a karate vs judo guy ....it's not that anymore I train in gojo ryu karate,BJJ,freestyle wrestling, sambo, muay thai, and boxing .....so I can AFFORD to take chances in my fights because I'm confident I'm well rounded enough to control the fight wherever it may go ......fighting isnt about how hard you can hit how many times you can hit or how well you move in the ring it's about how hard you can GET hit and keep coming forward !! thats where champions AND FAN favorites lie ....

anyway, a question to Machida fans :
Do you watch Curling? It's a sport... If u don't watch curling tell me why & the REAL reason

I've been kicked in the liver, spleen, short ribs and kidneys, and have been sent down by many of them. But I'm not a pro fighter. I'm just a dabbler who likes to grapple and box and do some thai boxing occasionally. I'm not exactly conditioned for that sort of stuff because, for myself, I don't take any of it very seriously. When you see a pro fighter go down to a strike in that area, either they have really bad conditioning, which Tito most certainly does not, or the strike was extremely powerful.
You just DON'T see many guys dropped from body shots anymore, and when you do - like Magmedov or Herring against Crocop, or Tito against Machida, you'd be an idiot to discount it the way you are.
