Fighters will say anything to hide their true game plan. They were caged in, Machida can be chased down but in the process Tito will get hit....they clinched at least 5 times, Tito couldn't take Machida down. Maybe Silva has skill set to beat Machida.

i guess the bottom line is, for any machida fan or tito hater, this fight was good. for any tito fan or machida hater, it was frustrating. not bad, just frustrating. seeing tito try to be agressive to the point of putting his hands down out of frustration sucked. and why machida wasnt deducted a point in the third is beyond me. he got warned twice and and yves actually forced him to release the cage. i thought tito won that round almost anyway, but it ended up not mattering.

i did see tito utilize some decent looking knees in those clinches tho. i think Wand could pound machida if he was willing to clinch with him.

they are caged in but the shape is an octagon which allows for much for free movement.fights like this make me favor the ring sometimes.

MAny fighters have similar traits, but no one is Ali.
Muhammad had 56 wins and no losses coming into his last 4 fights as a pro.
he was and is a God of sports.
I love MMA, and i believe if u were to throw any boxer in the ring with any MMA fighter, the boxer wud get his ass handed to him.
but there is no other Muhammad Ali

It was boring I admit at certain points, but once Tito frustration show up, Machida went in for "free strikes". It is very tactical. It's sort like sport BJJ for avg folks. What are they doing!

Cage was built in favor of Grapplers, either way in ring or cage, Machida is elusive and tough to beat. Someone will eventually figure out how to fight Machida, chase, clinch, pummel, punch, gnp etc.
