Can somebody explain to me how, exactly Machida is going to beat Tito?
Seriously. Machida plays into all of Tito's strengths. Sure Machida's wrestling is an unknown quality, but Brazilians aren't exactly known for their impenetrable sprawls and strong wrestling skills.
And sure he's elusive on the feet, but that by no means translates to eluding the takedown, that's two completely different games.
He also isn't known for his KO power. Tito will probably take some shots, but how much damage will they really do to him?
The bottom line is Machida is an odd fighter for those who rely heavily on their striking skills. Tito is not going to try to strike with him. He's going to take him down and either bury him or LnP for three rounds.
This seems pretty obvious to me, but I'm open to any arguments in Machida's favor. I know everyone hates Tito, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's a shit fighter.
