I'm sorry, but is watching a dude lay on top of another dude for 3 rounds not considered a boring fight? I would rather watch a technician like Lyoto counter all round than watch a dude blanket another dude for 15 minutes hoping that one of his elbows does the trick.

With all due respect, I'm not trying to simply get people to like my post. I certainly respect your response but I personally stand by that.

I'll agree to a point though. Maybe I should have worded it a little different. A true fight fan who appreciates/analyzes the unique fighting styles/game plans and not your average fight fan.

Being a MT fighter, I am in awe of the man... He is truely amazing to watch, and anybody who has ever stepped in a ring themselves, know just how fucking awesome it is what he does

Machida style obviously is no exciting for an average nuthugger fan and maybe can be boring if you expect an early Ko or submission. but just blame him i think is unfair, is so much boring watch his opponent sinking in Machida's game so easy.

I've heard people compare Machida to Floyd Mayweather, and I have to agree in that most people say that watching Floyd Mayweather box is boring, but what he does to win is intelligent, being that he isn't going to get sucked into a slugfest he knows he'll lose. Same with Machida.

It's like when I'm in my boxing sparring class. I weigh 165, but I usually haver a few HW sparring partners. But when I go against them, do you think I'm gonna get on the inside and risk getting hit by a big ass fist? Hell no, I'm gonna jab, circle, and GTFO OF THE WAY!!!

Now I know that isn't exactly Machida's or PBF's situation, it's slightly similar in that they know they're good at keeping their distance, and staying elusive. So why would they try to go blow for blow if it isn't necessary?
