I think Machida is a boring fighter and don't care to see him fight again.

Lyoto Machida is a backpedaling cockguzzling retard who should quit the UFC and go back to fighting karate tournaments where his SUPER FUCKING AMAZING TECHNICAL BADASSERY will be appreciated by all the real fight fans, you guys could fly out to some half filled highschool auditorium with mats layed out in it and cheer your fucking hearts out.

Since when does a fighter need to base his style/game plan on entertainment value? Sure, one could make the point that a more "entertaining" fighter is more marketable thus potential for more money down the road but.............
1. Each fighter has developed abilities/skills/game plans that are unique to themselves to ensure that they have the best possible chance of being successful.
Maybe Machida realizes that he is not the best at being "balls out aggressive" and that would work against him and possibly set up a loss...thus..shortening his time as a top level fighter.
2. A true fight fan will enjoy the uniqueness and abilities of Machida.
3. I liked the fight personally, Tito knew what he had to do; he made attempts that came up short but he continued to do what he could.
Could Tito have made more clinch/takedown attempts? Well, I think IF he wanted to get Machida into his "area of dominance...aka..GnP" then...he would've had to.
4. It could also be said that Tito wasn't aggressive enough to beat a fighter in the likes of Machida.
In the fight, I felt myself rooting for Tito you know. I still think he is a solid fighter and CAN regain his previous top tier status.
Thanks guys.

Numbers are conclusive.
You are clearly an idiot if you think Machida didn't outclass, out strike and outfight Tito.

You are missing my point, I didn't say I hate machida and he sucks.
I did not say Machida had no class and tito should have won.
But the poster I quoted told me I was an idiot because I did not like Machida, I love the Cincinatti bengels and I hate the steelers. The steelers have been and will usually beat the bengels am I an idiot for not loving the steelers?
Granted thats NFL, but you can apply the same to MMA fans, just because someone doesnt like the best fighter doesn't mean they are stupid.

I wouldn't say embarrassed but he was the better fighter. While I understand his intentions on avoidance it is still boring to watch. Win or loose I would rather pay money to watch Tito over Machida any day. He is very good but not very exciting, and avoids too much just to inch out a win.

any idiot who says machida was "running" doesnt know the first thing about striking, pivots, angles and counterstriking. machida is a wizard when it comes to striking and the counter shots he was throwing at tito when tito was rushing in were amazing, a dude that big with that kinda speed is rare, hes gonna own the LHW division like anderson owns the MWD.

I commend you for not being a complete douche bag but honestly man...setting criteria that renders you a fight a fight fan? no no my friend not a good way to get people to like your post..also machidas unique skills would, if entered into an aptitude test, make him far better suited for distance running.
WAR machida in the 2008 olympics...for RUNNING.
