Aleksandar Emelianenko = Russion Mobster??

Anyone here seen Eastern Promises? Made members of the Russian Mob (Vory v Zakone) are tattood and have distinct star tattoos below each shoulder and one on the knee. When I was watching old Pride reruns with Aleksandar Emelianenko and he has the EXACT same stars! Not to mention his whole body is tatted up...is he part of the MOB?? If he is, than he should immediately be nicknamed 'the assassin' or 'the hitman' or even 'the janitor', or some other cliche mob nickname!
