mma guys and their boxing counter parts

jermaine taylor-rashad evans-both athletic charismatic popular fighters, they lack the subtle aspects of the game; but have all the tools necessary to be the very best

forrest griffin-arturo gatt-two face first guys w/alot of heart and durability, aggressive fan friendly style; these guys do have some skills..but eschew them in favor of making a fight a war or brawl.

couture v hopkins-holyfield guys who started late and came to dominate as they got older; true tech of their sports who understand..spacing..timing..positioning and all the fundamentals of their sports. Noone is more strategically aware or mentally tougher

cro cop-lennox lewis-highly intelligent tech and gifted fighters; who due to arrogance and overconfidence have suffered some vicious and embarassing losses.. Have a rare combo of tech intellectual and physical skills

charles bennet-emmanuel augustus-very talented guy, w/suspect discipline and conditioning which has plagued both throughout their careers costing them titles..money and fame as a result.

ken shamrock-fernando vargas--vinny paz-a guy who's popularity came from his persona as much as his actual accomplishments; both have beaten good to very good comp, but loss to the bigger names on their ledger except for one or two. In the case of ken he beat severn and drew w/royce; vargas beat quartey and wright..both have been on steroids and both careers have been hurt by extra curricular activities..an both have been BRUTALLY STOPPED by the better fighters.

oscar de la hoya/ortiz-golden boys..promoters hate them because of their mouths and influence they have on other fighters, have loss against almost every top guy they faced -tito loss to couture/liddel/shamrock/mezger- oscar loss to mosley-mayweather-trinidad- hopkins.. Draws a crowd regardless of opp..great business man

frank mir-james toney= two guys who lack the discipline to stay in shape and focused; have an abundance of skill and exp, some of the better technicians in the game. But lack of mental game has hurt them and given them embarassing losses.

arvloski-judah-two guys w/great skillsets and phys ability; capable of dominating any and everyone. But have shown a lack of heart an toughness when facing a live opp they can't dominate; have suffered embarassing ko and dec losses--arvloski to sylvia and judah to tzyu and baldomir

roger huerta-sergio mora-two charming athletic guys w/alot of ability and activity; but they can't punch at all, yet are involved in exciting fights due to their style and activity..neither has beaten anyone..

belfort-tyson-gifted exp athletic guys who were broken by exp tough fighters and have shown an inability to come back after being exposed as non intimidating fighter

anyone got anymore

This is a good thread. Why did it get moved to the wasteland?

I'd hardly say that Hopkins started late. You realise he has close to 20 yrs of pro fights to his name?
