Aside from the triangle Tito was completely outclasses the rest of the fight.

In the first round Machida landed 27 strikes and Tito landed 0. Not to mention Machida avoiding all the takedowns and landing one of his own at the end of the round.

Tito really impressed me with the triangle and we haven't ever really seen his bottom game too often in MMA so it was refreshing. If they fight again Machida will win just as easy though.

I agree that Tito would lose again, but DAMN! it was pretty impressive to see a guy not known for submissions slap a triangle choke on someone as elusive as Machida...

Actually it is less impressive. Since Tito is not known for subs, his opponents don't expect them, and therefore they use positions that they wouldn't use against a sub guy.
