Z tous,

The TS is stating a fact, and that's it. There is no "point" to it. It is very debatable since one judge dissented. Let us debate it. Most of us know what the judges scored it.

GSP did control most of the round and landed some shots, nothing damaging. Koscheck reversed him, landed a couple of punches, nothing damaging. I had St. Pierre winning it myself due to Octagon Control, but I agree it was a very close round.

The takedown Kos scored was with a 1:30 left. St. Pierre had a very good butterfly guard and Kos only thew 2 punches during that time.

Personally I scored the offense about the same, but GSP wins via control.

I prefer the medicated Gold Bond Powder that comes in the green bottle. It absorbs any moisture throughout the day and it's mentholated so it leaves your balls minty fresh!

Just rewatched the first round. Not that it matters, but GSP won pretty clearly. Not much happened in the first 30 seconds, then GSP caught a kick and took Kos down. He had Kos down for over 2.5 minutes before Kos reversed him. Kos spent the last 1.5 minutes of the round on top. Neither was particularly effective with their gnp, so I think it really comes down to GSP holding Kos down for 2.5 minutes vs Kos holding him down for 1.5 minutes.

I got more respect for Kos in that fight after watching GSP's last two fights. All in all Kos did very well for himself in that fight. GSP never hurt which is very impressive.

That's pretty amazing that the juges gave the round to Kos. That's just another example of why it's important to make a good impression on the juges at the end of a round.

As other dudes pointed it out, it's just a plain fact that GSP was on top and controling the fight for about 2.5 minutes and Kosh did the same but for about 1.5 minutes, so, how can you give the firsat round to Kos?? He did it at the end of the round and the juges were simply blinded by that.
