Why is Shields not signing with the UFC if he thinks he's good enough to "break" the champ?

It's easy to say that when you are fighting in lower level org's

Yeah, I guess the last thing he would want is to fight on a card televised nationally in the United States...he should go to the "big show" and stop playing around with those small time losers at CBS. Jackass.

you do realize this is a job for him, right? Why would someone who fights for a living sign a contract for far less than he can make somewhere else?

Shields is a top 10 WW, and probably is the only person with even a chance of beating GSP.

In fact, he might be the only person capable of beating Anderson Silva either.

I agree everyone is beatable but i just don't see Shields having the tools to take GSP out
