Merchandising is a part of EVERY sports contract. It's sad that sports like that now, but it is, Fitch thought he was better then that. The real argument is merchandising and sport, but sports a business, and Fitch is an employee hindering the progress of his boss.

Yes they are, not directly, but they are. There would be a clause in their contracts about merchandising, not this directly, but I'll guarantee you there is.

Also, the indirect "pay". This builds fighters popularity and introduces them to new fans. My brother who hates MMA knows who Tito Ortiz is from the video game, as well as Caol Uno.
