Hughes Nuthuggers come explain why he'll win next time

OMFG Hughes DID get owned lol

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Had my last thread deleted for adding the video...

First of all, forget this Franklin / Silva comparison, like Hughes wasnt Hughes or some conspiracy, thats crap. I didnt see anything particularly odd about Hughes, and as some have already mentioned, he always hugs his trainers before the fight...

When they first started trading shots I give Hughes credit for having the balls to try and strike with Rush but that was just foolish.

The high 5 Hughes gave George for trying the reverse kick to the stomach made me laugh, started to think Matt was more down to earth than I thought!!! Very cool shit

Then these 2 "Groin shots" ahem... GIVE ME A B R E A K

Those hit the inside of Hughes left leg. BOTH OF THEM. I replayed them a HUNDRED TIMES they didnt come close to hitting Hughes there. Unless he has an 18 inch **** maybe>?

Eats an knee for trying to shoot the first time...

Eats a fist for trying to shoot the second...

Matt laughs cause he realizes he cant shoot in on Rush, eats a Super - Tiger punch for breakfast and gets knocked down but saved by the close of round 1 before he gets Ko'd completely. Hughes is trying to figure out where he is, and Rush is pacing the cage like a wild animal...

How they gave it 10 - 9 was beyond me, it was a 10 - 8 round
at a minimum... whatever.

Round 2... Hughes shoots in again and realizes it isnt going anywhere, so tosses in a couple knees and back away.
Hughes actually appears to be gassing!!! Rush comes in and throws a few legs kicks in and drops Hughes to the ground, Rush backs away and lets Hughes back up...

Matt trys shaking off the cobwebs and keeps trying to trade with George but eats a kick to the side of the head, followed by a half dozen punches and a half dozen elbows before Big John stops it.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>

Ok so here goes... OMFG Hughes got OWNED! You could see how Hughes got more and more frustrated, cause he couldnt trade with him, and kept getting his takdowns stuffed in his face!

Sorry Hughes fans, this was plain and simple PWNAGE

There wont be a next time cause Matt was completely made a fool of.I give Hughes all the credit in the world, hes one HELL of a fighter, but hes finished with St Pierre in that division. He better move weight classes or retire as rumored. I wouldnt suggest he retire though, he has a couple years left in him Im sure, better forget rush though

I cant wait to see what the nuthuggers have to argue this one lol

Heres a post from OrangeGringo:

This is not a description. This is an editorial, and a sensationalized editorial at that. You lost all credibility when #1 you said Hughes did not get hit in the nuts, and #2 when you wrote the entire piece like a 6-year-old fan rather than an objective observer.

How about this for a description:

Matt Hughes came to the ring flat, and in a mood that seemd to be something besides the mood to mix it up in a difficult battle. George St. Pierre came in looking lathered up to fight.

When the fighters engaged, it was clear that GSP's standup was superior to Matt's from the start of the fight. GSP looked quicker and crisper, whereas Hughes looked plodding and less skilled with his footwork and strikes.

Hughes made several attempts to take the fight to the ground, but GSP had a great gameplan to keep the fight standing. Once GSP won the chessmatch about where and how the fight would occur, the fight was esentially over. Hughes made several game attempts to pull off the miracle on his feet, but in the end, he lowered his head, either to duck what he perceived to be a kick to his midsection or leg, or to go for a deseprate shoot. Either way, GSP caught Hughes with a nice shot to the side of the head that whipped Hughes' neck sideways and ended the fight. The following flurry of blows by GSP was academic.

Mid-way through the fight, GSP delievered a leg kick that caught Hughes in the groin, which is against the rules. However, the rules provide for recovery by the struck fighter in such a situation, rather than disqualification. Hughes was afforded that recovery time -- he could take as much as he wanted -- and then, when they re-engaged, GSP inadvertently did the same thing again. Hughes again took time to recover, GSP apologized, Hughes indicated he was ok, and the fight went on as described above. Perhaps the blow to the groin slowed Hughes or took some of his legs from him, but it appeared that GSP's takedown defense and superior standup game was the bigger difference in the fight.

Hughes has proved to be a great champion over the years, and should be considered an all-time great. GSP appears to be set up to have a similar distringuished reign, and Hughes graciously acknowledged as much in his post-fight interview. Unfortunately, fans of both Hughes and GSP appear to be have less class than the fighters themselves, and seem unable to notice and admire the true fighting spirit and skill displayed by both fighters in this fight and throughout both of their careers. What people seem to forget is that Hughes and GSP have fought twice, and both fighters have prevailed once. Although GSP has the edge as the winner of the most recent fight between the two, a rubber match is in order to determine who can claim to be the victor in the series between two excellent athletes who have also both shown to be excellent sportsmen.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Example of the nuthugging Im talking about lol

GSP isn't even close to being on the same level as Matt's. Sure he won the last fight, but who won first one? MATT HUGHES, THATS WHO!

DID YOU FORGET THAT MATT COMPLETELY DOMINATED HIM ON THE FLOOR AND MADE GSP TAP???

Matt has the one person on his side that really makes a huge difference....The Christian Lord. There is no better support than that. And trust me, when Matt steps back into the ring to regain his title, he's going to do just that, regain his title.

hah... *holds laugh*

that actually is kinda funny.

god will lead hughes to victory just like he did kenflo.

im not saying god exists or doesnt, i dont know and you dont know, anything else is pure faith combined with speculation.

what i can say for sure is that if god does exist, he does not get in the way of any type of competition. save to maybe protect participants from getting hurt.

but anything from wars to ping pong games to mma. god does not give victory to the one that prays harder, he sits down on his fucking recliner with some doritos and watches, just like the rest of us.

Ya you always see fighters saying " I wanna thank my lord and savior Jesus Christ" but when they LOSE you dont see them giving the big middle finger to the man upstairs and blame him!

So hows this work? When you win its GODS WILL but when you LOSE God had nothing to do with it?!?!?!

The christian lord? Dude do you really think if there is such thing as God he gives two fucks about MMA fighting? You should read your bible a little more instead of acting like a brainwashed idiot and you'd realize how corny that statement sounds.

btw god isnt a person

Dude your posts aren't serious, are they? The first match doesn't mean shit anymore as it's apparent GSP has improved greatly compared to Hughes. Hughes being good on the ground has no relevance as he cannot take GSP down anymore. Get off Hughes' nuts and go read your bible.
