Get rid of the current mma Judges

Wouldnt it be better to have experienced fighters as mma Judges instead of people who have probably never trained a day in their life except the small training they have to do to become a judge?

Im talking about intelligent fighters such as Matt Hume (who has judged Pride before), Pat Miletich, Greg Jackson, Eric Paulson, Greg Nelson, Randy Couture etc. I cant see many Bisping vs Hamill like decisions with those as judges.

This idea has potential... the same should go for judges.

Although I have seen every UFC show since the debut of TUF, as well as every Elite XC show... several Pride and Bodog shows, I was never certain on how judges are selected. I know Cecil Peoples is both a ref and a judge... but not familiar with other names I see announced.

That makes more sense, but I could see some issues with favoritism come into play.

yeah, the judging in mma is still way too wacky and inconsistent. the system is pretty flawed but if you get some reasonably intelligent judges in there it could really make a difference.
